Automation Goal
Communicate with individuals who express interest in volunteering
How it works
- The potential volunteer joins a category and is added to the automation.
- The first email is sent to thank the potential volunteer for their interest and capture their areas of interest.
- The potential volunteer waits in a pause step for 3 days (or whatever time frame you decide).
- Evaluate Interests Submitted Date to determine if the potential volunteer provided their areas of interest. If yes, Stop.
- The second email is sent to remind the potential volunteer to submit their areas of interest.
- The potential volunteer waits in a pause step for 3 days (or whatever time frame you decide).
- Evaluate Interests Submitted Date to determine if the potential volunteer provided their areas of interest. If yes, Stop.
- The third and final email is sent to remind the potential volunteer to submit their areas of interest.
- Evaluate Interests Submitted Date to determine if the potential volunteer provided their areas of interest. If yes, Stop
- Remove the potential volunteer from the category for lack of interest/response.
- The potential volunteer waits in a Stop step
Prerequisites
- 3 Automated API email designs
- A date-based custom field that identifies the Interests Submitted Date
- A Category named Potential Volunteers (or whatever name you decide)
- Determine how you plan to add contacts to the category. Some options are:
- Set up your Delivra subscribe form with a hidden category
- Import contacts into a category
- Assign the category when connecting other products/tools using Zapier
Get Started
- Create a Potential Volunteers category in your account.
- Use this template to build the automation in your account.
- Design an Automated API email for each Send Email step.
- Update the Pause step if you want to use a different time frame between each email that is sent.
Pro Tips
- Add as many Send Email and Pause steps as you want. There is no limit on the number of emails in a series.
- Always have a Pause step after each Send Email step to ensure that multiple emails are not immediately sent to your potential volunteers.
- Collect your potential volunteers in a Stop step at the end of the automation. This gives you the ability to extend the automation at a later date, if desired.
